When is it best to exfoliate the scalp?

A scalp exfoliation can be done prophylactically or in order to get rid of a specific problem. Regular peeling of the head stimulates circulation and cleanses the skin, and removing dead skin cells facilitates the growth of new hair. However, it is easy to overdo it, and too frequent and intense exfoliation will certainly irritate the skin.

Exfoliate the scalp well when you feel your head itching and your hair is damp. It is also a good way for small, purulent pimples, which may be a symptom of clogged hair follicles or dirt, sebum and dust accumulating. In turn, wounds and disturbing skin lesions are a contraindication to peeling.

How to exfoliate your scalp?

To prepare a scalp scrub, moisten your hair with lukewarm water. Get scrub on your hands and slowly spread it over the scalp. With circular movements, massage each centimetre of the scalp. After a few minutes, wash out the product with lukewarm water. Later, wash your hair with shampoo and apply a light conditioner. Exfoliate the scalp on average, once a week.
