Bath salts- properties

We have many types of sea salt to choose from. Each of them has different properties. What kind of?

Pink Himalayan salt

This is one of the healthiest salts. It was created millions of years ago in the eastern part of the Himalayan Karakoram, in the place of the former ocean. It is very clean and and rich in up to 84 minerals, electrolytes and elements. Himalayan salt helps lower blood pressure, detoxifies and smoothes skin irritations, acne and joint pain.

Epsom Salt

Epsom salt originated in Great Britain. It is a pure mineral compound created from magnesium and sulfate in the form of crystals. Although it looks like salt, it does not contain a typical ingredient – sodium chloride. Nevertheless, numerous health properties of Epsom salts are beyond discussion. First of all, it is an excellent source of magnesium, the deficiency of which can cause heart disease, strokes, osteoporosis, arthritis, digestive problems and chronic fatigue. Bath with epsom salts relaxes muscles, smoothes irritated skin, reduces symptoms of fatigue and supports the treatment of skin diseases (acne, psoriasis, AD).

Dead Sea Salt

Sea salt from the Dead Sea differs from other sea salts in its mineral content – the former contains a low concentration of sodium chlorine and a high concentration of magnesium, sulphates and potassium. Such bath is ideal for dry skin, acne skin and psoriasis, it also reduces the pain associated with arthritis and rheumatism. Sea salt from the Dead Sea has strong detoxification properties.

Grey Sea Salt from Guerande

Grey salt is hand-harvested in Guérande, the region of Brittany in France. It contains minerals, which actually give the salt its colour. Grey salt has a low concentration of sodium, and high of calcium, potassium, copper, zinc and iron.

Sea Salt

Sea salt is naturally produced by the evaporation of seawater. It has a positive effect on health due to the high content of minerals. For this reason it is also believed to have therapeutic properties. Even a small amount of sea salt added to the bathtub stimulates blood circulation, relieves muscle cramps, joint stiffness, arthritis, as well as back and leg pain. In addition, sea salt purifies and detoxifies the skin.

It is a good idea to mix grey salt with essential oils. In general, we can choose between coarse and fine sea salt. Fine salts can be used for body scrubs and bath mixtures with herbs. In turn, coarse sea salt absorbs essential oils, which is why they are added to aromatherapy and relaxation baths.
